Presidential visit: Police warns residents to eschew violence,

Police command in Cross River State has warned residents in the state to eschew any act that will cause breach of peace before, during and after President Mohammadu Buhari’s visit as any act inimical to this will be decisively dealt with by the command.

In a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ms Irene Ugbo and made available to DAILY NEWS on Monday, the PPRO urged members of the public and Politicians to go about their lawful business.

“Members of the public to eschew any act that will cause breach of peace before, during and after the President’s visit as any act inimical to this will be decisively dealt with by the command” She said..

Police Command solicit the support of all politicians to eschew bitterness and differences with a view to patriotically gives President a rousing welcome reception.

She stated, “This is to inform the general public that the President and the commander in chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Mohammadu Buhari will arrive cross river state for a one day working visit on Tuesday 26th 2018 by 9am.

“In view of this, the command enjoined the co-operation and understanding of the cross riverians, motorists and other members of the public to avoid plying the following routes from 0700-1600hrs, IBB Way/Murtala Mohammed Highway/Atimbo Road/Jonathan Bye-Pass throughout to avert traffic congestion within these routes”, She said.
